Wear REALTOR.ca wherever you go!
This past December CREA undertook a new project to extend the REALTOR.ca experience to the much anticipated Apple Watch.
As part of this project CREA worked to fine tune the REALTOR.ca app, making it more personal and more attuned to each consumer's real estate journey.
REALTOR.ca is part of a select group of apps available for the launch of Apple Watch. It is featured alongside AirCanada, eBay, CNN and other national and international heavy weights on Apple's App Store. This underscores the popularity of our app and REALTOR.ca in general.
Here's some of the features you can expect on REALTOR.ca on the Apple Watch:
The app puts REALTORS® front and centre, making it super easy for consumers to get in touch.
The app allows consumers to see the property closest to them with a simple flick of the wrist with the new 'Glances' feature.
The app allows consumers to add properties to their 'Favourites', view 'Saved Searches' and view a list of the properties closest to them geographically with the 'Near Me' feature.
REALTOR.ca on Apple Watch puts REALTORS® at the forefront of wearable technology, leading consumers into a new world of real estate discovery.

Phase II of the .REALTOR launch by the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) will make it possible for brokerages to join REALTORS® in using .REALTOR web addresses for their organizations.
Registration will open at www.claim.REALTOR on May 7, 2015 at 11am EDT, on a first-come, first-serve basis.
DDF® Third Party Destination Update
As of April 30th, CREA will provide the Third Party Destinations component for the DDF®. This component distributes participating brokerages' listing content to third party sites across the web. This was previously handled by Point2 on behalf of CREA.
This change will improve the quality and efficiency of the service, and ensure that listing content destined for third party sites will be displayed in a timely fashion.
What can you expect?
- Your dashboard will receive a facelift, making it more visually appealing and easier to use.
- Your listing content will be available up to 24-hours sooner on third party destinations.
- All the leads you receive from third party destinations will indicate the origin of the lead so you can better assess the results of your marketing efforts.
- You'll be able to distribute your listings to the same sites as before, plus four new ones. And there's more to come!
This transition should have no impact on current user settings. We do, however, recommend checking them on the DDF® Dashboard in early May. And while you're at it, check out the new destinations that have been added!
