D.A.N.G.E.R. Report comes to Canada

In the fall of 2015, CREA commissioned the Swanepoel | T3 Group to research and identify emerging cultural and economic trends that could have an impact on the real estate industry in Canada. The findings were presented at the T3 Summit, a one-day conference adjacent to CREA's Annual General Meeting in March, and documented in a comprehensive report devised to foster important conversations within the REALTOR® Community and spur collective action.

To prepare the report, over 30 of the industry's most prominent and knowledgeable leaders were consulted. These interviews served as the basis for the 70 page report that identifies 36 dangers, grouped into four sections:

Dangers range on a spectrum of likelihood and impact and not all dangers apply to all markets.

Review each section and the correlating dangers for yourself by downloading the D.A.N.G.E.R. Report [Canada Edition] from CREA's Publications page on REALTORLink.ca.

PAC Reps knock on MPs' doors

CREA's Political Action Committee (PAC) consists of REALTOR® volunteers assigned by their Board or Association to represent the REALTOR® Community in discussions with the federal government.

During the parliamentary break week of May 23-27, PAC Reps will be meeting with their Members of Parliament (MPs) in the constituency to discuss the local and national housing market and CREA's 2016 REALTOR® recommendations for the Home Buyers' Plan (HBP).

With both the Liberal and Conservative parties including our recommendations in their election platforms last fall, the future is promising. Now is the time to highlight the importance of the HBP for homebuyers across Canada.

Did you know…

helped 2.8 million Canadians

And in 2015, HBP purchases resulted in over…

2.9 billion plus 22,000 jobs

Learn more about the value of the HBP and our recommendations to stop the erosion of the HBP's value through indexation and extend eligibility for the HBP to Canadians going through a significant life change.

More information on "PAC at Home" and our recommendations can be found on the REALTOR® Action Network (RAN).

Next generation of REALTOR® leaders converge in PEI

YPN Forum July 25, 2016

Young Professionals Network (YPN) members are invited to take part in a dedicated YPN forum to discuss strategies to start, build and maintain thriving YPNs and propel YPN members into leadership positions.

You'll also get the chance to shake hands and rub shoulders with our industry's top producers, leaders and influencers and have dedicated facetime – no iPhone required – with CREA's Board of Directors.

Afternoon sessions are open to all REALTORS® interested in engaging in a series of dynamic roundtable discussions on the industry's latest technology, trends and ideas. This year, we have SMART home technology and consumer insights on the agenda.

After the Summit, join YPNers from across the country for an evening tasting tour as we eat and drink like locals in downtown Charlottetown.

If you haven't already booked your ticket, please do so by registering at www.realtorlink.ca/ypn.
