The first-ever REALTORS Care® Week is fast approaching, but it’s still not too late to plan a project in your local community.
From November 18 to 22, the REALTOR® community will be raising awareness about critical housing issues and taking action to share the comfort of home with Canadians in need.
Getting involved is as easy as reaching out to local housing or shelter-related charities and letting them know you’re looking for a group volunteer opportunity during REALTORS Care® Week. Chances are most charities are willing to accommodate events that benefit their organization.
Once you’ve selected a charity and have come up with a plan for your project, register the event on the REALTORS Care® Week Project Portal*, recruit some volunteers and go make your community a better place!
When the big day arrives, make sure to capture a few good quality photos (or short videos) of your volunteers in action and share them on social media. Don’t forget to use the hashtag #REALTORSCareWeek so we can like and share your posts. Let your local media outlets know about your project. It’s important to position your event within the context of relevant local housing-related issues while linking it to the national REALTORS Care® Week initiative.
