The Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) is now accepting applications for its Board of Directors and volunteer committees.
CREA’s Director Elections for 2024-2025
As a CREA Director you’ll champion our vision that aims to establish REALTORS® as the preferred, trusted, and respected experts in meeting consumer real estate needs. You will ensure responsible stewardship of resources and lead CREA confidently into the future for the benefit of the REALTOR® community.
This year, CREA is seeking experienced and skilled REALTORS® for three Director-at-Large positions and four Regional Directors.
- 3 Director-at-Large positions available (each for a 2-year term).
- 4 Regional Director positions available (each for a 2-year term) – one from each of the following regions: Alberta/Northwest Territories, Saskatchewan, Ontario and the Atlantic Region (New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland and Labrador).
The deadline for candidate applications for both the Director-at-Large positions and Regional Directors is Friday, February 16, 2024.
The Director-at-Large elections will take place during CREA’s Annual General Meeting in Ottawa on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, and the Regional Director elections will take place before the AGM at a time and place to be determined.

CREA’s 2024-2025 Volunteer Committees
CREA’s 10 volunteer board and operational committees act as resources to our Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and help shape the decisions and directions we take.
For example, the Federal Affairs Committee helps shape our federal advocacy efforts and REALTOR® recommendations, which have been largely acted upon by the federal government.
The Marketing and Communications Committee provides high level strategic direction and feedback to CREA’s marketing and communications activities, including the national advertising campaign.
Launched in 2022, CREA’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Committee provides critical input and REALTOR® perspectives into the development of our association’s first-ever ESG strategy. In 2024, the committee will oversee the operationalization of the strategy, including setting measurable social and environmental impact goals and reporting our progress.
The application process is open to all REALTORS® in good standing with CREA as well as board and association staff members. Applications will be accepted until Friday, February 16, 2024.
