The CREA Stats Boutique just got a makeover!
Introducing the new CREA Stats Centre—a one-stop shop for the national news release, MLS® aggregate data from the national, provincial and board level, plus more detailed MLS® statistics broken down by local areas and property types.
The redesigned site will make it easier for members to access a plethora of statistics.
According to CREA Economist Chris Jokel, the changes were necessary to make the site more accessible and user-friendly to less tech-savvy folks. The new site will also create a more “natural flow” for locating and accessing information.
The streamlined version of the site is broken down into three main sections: aggregate statistics, unit statistics and press releases.
Aggregate statistics
These are stats on a national, provincial, and board level for residential properties, including measures such as sales, new listings, active listings, average price and months of inventory.
The seasonally adjusted figures will be especially helpful for REALTORS® comparing month-over-month changes in the data.
Unit statistics
This section allows the user to access information on a sub-market level where, as Jokel says, “you can really get down to the very nitty-gritty.”
Searches can be broken down into specific criteria, such as single-detached, semi-detached, townhomes and apartments, rather than just overall residential data.
National news release
In this final section, members can access CREA’s monthly national news releases.
The aesthetic and practical upgrades are designed to make it much easier for members to access “a whole host of data” they need for their work.
With changes designed to make the site easier to use and more pleasing to the eye, with greater access to critical details, the new CREA Stats Centre promises to be an invaluable resource for REALTORS®.
