The National Leadership Program is designed to build stronger leaders by ensuring they have sound industry knowledge and an understanding of association governance, while being equipped with the right leadership Skills and tools to lead. The program assists the REALTOR® association community to reduce volunteer turnover and help build vibrant and innovative organizations.
The program consists of three leadership courses, including:
Leadership 100 – On the Path to Leadership
This course provides a brief overview of organized real estate, not-for-profit organizations, the role of the committee member, and support available. You’ll learn about how staff and volunteer committee members can work together effectively to further the objectives of real estate boards and associations.
Leadership 200 – Becoming a Leader
This intermediate course is for new directors and is designed to help participants develop strong committee skills, learn board etiquette, and gain confidence in their roles. Subjects covered in this program include Leadership Development, Relationships, Governance, Leadership Responsibilities and Leadership Skills.
Leadership 300 – Enhancing Leadership Skills
This advanced course is targeted to members who have acted as a director on a board for a several years and have advanced or are interested in advancing to a position on the Executive.
Leadership 200: Becoming a Leader and Leadership 300: Enhancing Leadership Skills are both being offered prior to the AGM as virtual, instructor-led classrooms.
