All week, REALTORS® across the country have been listening and learning more about homelessness in Canada and what we can do to help end and prevent it.
We had the pleasure of hearing from Métis-Cree author and Ph.D. candidate Jesse Thistle, keynote at Tuesday’s REALTORS Care® Week 2020 Virtual Conference on Homelessness, where he shared his personal experience in and out of homelessness.
Jesse’s story is truly inspirational. If you missed him on Tuesday – or would like to hear more – he’s also the guest of REAL TIME Episode 9, out now.
In this latest episode, Jesse graces us with an emotional reading from his best-selling book From the Ashes.
He also talks about how REALTORS® can make a difference in their communities and what we should be asking from our governments to help drive real change.
Finally, we hear from the Honourable Ahmed Hussen, Minister of Families, Children and Social Development, and the Canadian government’s position on helping ensure every Canadian has a safe, affordable place to call home.
Listen to the full episode at crea.ca/podcast and be sure to sign our letter to Minister Hussen in support of the federal government’s commitments to end chronic homelessness and increase affordable housing capacity.
