CREA AGM Goes Virtual

Because of the current COVID-19 pandemic and the need to practice social distancing, the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) will be holding its 2020 Annual General Meeting (AGM) in a virtual format.

Earlier this month, CREA’s Board of Directors approved a bylaw change to allow for a full virtual conference. Under the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act, it’s required CREA holds an AGM in some manner within six months of the new year.

Unfortunately, this year’s Leadership Summit must be cancelled.

If you plan on attending the virtual AGM, remember, it is a members’ only meeting and therefore you must be mindful of your surroundings when tuning in.

All attendees to the AGM will have the capability to submit a question or comment.

Only Voting Delegates will have the capability to vote during the AGM. Each Voting Delegate will be provided with a special email that contains a unique code tied to the number of votes the Voting Delegate carries. It is important that voting delegates treat this email confidentially and not provide it to any other person.

If you have any technical difficulties accessing the virtual meeting, please contact CREA’s Member Support Team.

More information will be provided closer to the date of our virtual AGM.
