The Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) is now accepting applications for its 2023-2024 committees.
Each year, CREA invites REALTORS® and board/association staff to apply to serve on one of its 10 volunteer board/operational committees, which act as resources to our Board of Directors and CEO on important topics. CREA’s committees are an opportunity for members to have a say in how the Canadian real estate industry moves forward and work with REALTORS® from across the country.
“Our committees act as an advisory group to the board and provide important information on the projects we work on. We appreciate the work they do to help guide the decisions of our board,” said Jill Oudil, Chair of CREA.
We understand the importance of bringing REALTORS® with diverse backgrounds and experiences to our committee tables. We want the composition of our committees and our board to reflect the wonderful diversity of our national membership.
The application process is open to all REALTORS® in good standing with CREA as well as board and association staff. Applications will be accepted until Friday, February 17, 2023.
Opportunities are available for the following CREA committees:
- Association Executives Committee
- Audit and Risk Management Committee
- Broker Manager Committee
- Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Committee
- Federal Affairs Committee
- Finance Committee
- Governance and Bylaws Committee
- Marketing and Communications Committee
- REALTOR® Code Committee
- Technology Committee

During the webinar, REALTOR® and member of CREA’s Broker/Manager Committee, Matthew Honsberger said, “I didn’t know if I was ready to commit to board work, which is a greater time commitment, but committees were a way to explore my unique interests and influence the outcomes. . . It’s been massively rewarding so far.”
